Instead of spending money on expensive foaming hand soaps…refill the foaming container with about 1/4 to 1/3 liquid soap and fill the rest with water. It is plenty of soap and saves your hands from so many harsh chemicals that dry them out! For a healthier choice of soaps try Dr Bonners soaps… it is all naturals! Check it out at drbronner.com

I wanted to start a blog for several reasons…the most important is to share my faith in GOD..since that is eternal. The second reason is to share my health journey over the last 4 years, and the third reason is to share my love for bargain hunting. I hope to have time to build these pages and links soon!
We get so busy in todays world that I think we forget to make time for the most important thing of all!! What is our purpose here on this earth? Serving our creator is truly the only thing that can fill that void in our hearts and give us the Peace that only God can give!
If you are searching for Peace with God…seek him out… He will reveal himself to you if you are serious. Read the book of John in the Bible (New Testament). God loves you and wants you to experience peace and eternal life. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Because of sin, we are separated from God. We are selfish in our sinful nature and want to live life our own way. The only way to solve this problem is to surrender our hearts and lives to Jesus. He died on the Cross for our sins and rose from the grave. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We must trust Jesus as our Saviour, ask for forgiveness for our sins, and receive Him in our heart. As a Christian, I am far from perfect…just forgiven!! I fall short everyday and have to ask for forgiveness, but I have the assurance that God will always forgive and I look forward to living eternally with him! I have experienced some dark days in my life, but God has always carried me through. Just like Psalms 23:4 promises, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. He has always met my needs even when I had no idea what I really needed! One of my favorite verses is Phillipians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

This is probably my favorite because it is so different…
2 c filtered water
1 grapefruit (peeled and seeded)
1 juice orange (peeled and seeded
1 Tangerine (peeled and seeded)
1/4 c raw walnuts
1 T ground flax seed
1 c organic greens ( spinach, kale, dandelion greens, etc)- I soak all veggies in filtered water and grapefruit seed extract while preparing the first part of smoothie.
1-2 stalks oragnic celery
1 small bunch of organic cauliflower
Blend all together and place in freezer for about 1-2 hrs to get slushy before eating…Enjoy!!!
This past January my sister and I decided to see if we could go totally raw and eat nothing but raw smoothies, and fresh carrot juice. We had been puttin git off becasue we were not sure we could do it…we had been vegan for a few years, but not near raw. We were rather addicted to our roasted veggies with coconut oil and sauteed veggies on Ezekial wraps. We began researching the online smoothie sites and ordered Victoria’s book about Raw Smoothies (rawfamily.com). My favorite smoothie for lunch is as follows:
Mixed Berry Smoothie:
1-2 c of filtered water
1 1/2c frozen mixed berries
1/2 c frozen pineapple
1 oragnic fresh banana
1/4 c raw sunflower seeds
1 T ground flax seed
1T organic Hemp seed
1 scoop raw Sun Warrior vanilla protein powder
1 c organic greens ( spinach, roamine , kale etc.)
1-2 stalks of oganic celery
1 small bunch broccoli
Blend it all together…I like to put mine int he freezer till slushy before enjoying…that way it lasts longer. I feel like I am having 2 quarts of sherbert!! ENJOY!!
